Oz Gardening Home

Australia is a big country and large parts of it are hot and hostile. But there are millions of Aussies who live on or near the coast and many of them have a garden. That’s where Oz gardening comes into its own. Australians love their garden and many of us need or choose to have help with all our gardening chores.

There are so many tasks for anyone with a garden. Even people with a small plot can be kept busy with the seasons and for those with even the traditional quarter acre, the need to mow the lawns, weed the garden beds and prune the roses keeps us busy most weekends. If we are too busy to attend to our garden or if we are not as nimble as we once were, Oz gardening can be handled by experts leaving you to enjoy the best looking garden in your street.

The things they can do

You name it and if there is a gardening task which needs an expert, then sure enough they are available. Here is a list of some of the many Oz gardening tasks which could be performed at your place.

Lawn mowing

Hedge trimming

Planting lawn

Landscape design

Water features

Watering systems

Removing garden waste

Re-planting

Weeding

Cleaning garden beds and pathways

Mulching

Gardeners are pretty flexible and can turn their hand to other tasks as well. I mean if your guttering needs to be cleared and cleaned, if your patio needs a high pressure wash and if those windows with plants hard up against them need a clean, then those involved in Oz gardening are almost always up for the job.

All friends together

One of the best things about gardeners everywhere and in Oz in particular is their willingness to share ideas and tips. There are gardeners all over the country who can tell you their secret for growing certain flowers or vegetables and are happy to do so. Check out some of the blogs on Oz gardening and you’ll find details and success stories to inspire and educate. Many gardening magazines print responses from gardening readers and these too have plenty to offer.

The Oz gardeners on web sites will often engage an expert gardener or two and you are free to contact them with your questions. The answers are free and always helpful. And of course the double benefit is that anyone can read the questions and answers and apply the information to their garden.

But even better are the forums where Oz gardeners start a topic online in which they have a particular interest. So often this will have several even dozens of gardeners writing online giving their thoughts on why such and such is better for so and so. It’s fascinating to read if you are a novice or any gardener wanting to improve their gardening skills.

The beauty of gardening is the fact that you can work in your garden 12 months a year, unless the weather is terrible, and you can do so at your own pace. Of course getting some professional help is fine too but Oz gardening has always been a great hobby and pastime and long may it reign.
